Action Verb:

  • Action verbs express physical or mental activity.

Examples:
  1. I swim laps around the pool.
  2. The children wanted to play a game.


Linking Verb:

  • Linking verbs connect the subject with the word identifying or describing it.

Examples:
  1. The drink tastes good.
  2. The perfume smells like flowers.
